"The strength of the wolf is the pack"
At Grey Squirrel, we’ve noticed a gap in the training realm. An essential element missing from most programs. An individual can find highly skilled and adept resources for almost any and every tactical prowess under the sun. Shooting, moving, situational awareness, gear placement, equipment use, weapons manipulation… the list goes on. While all these skills are incredibly valuable and beneficial to the individual, where is the tribe? Where are the warriors to the left or right? The members of the community; learning and working in tandem with each other? This is where Grey Squirrel takes up its call and stands in the gap. We believe that however effective the individual is, alone there is no victory. The SPEAR program is designed to cultivate and facilitate team cohesion. To create more effective and resilient groups capable of working together to adapt and overcome adverse situations. Our focus is on the tools needed for teams to work smoothly and efficiently with each other. We come to your turf, your environment, and tailor the curriculum to your specific situation.
Software is more important than hardware. This program is not designed to recreate a selection course where we yell at you while you do push-ups in the dark (that being said, it will require a physical component). It’s not us telling old war stories in a shoot house while you watch us do CQB. This program IS about the transfer of vital knowledge we have accumulated over the course of many years and many battlefields and how it applies to you and your community. Though weaponry and technology are always changing, the foundations and fundamentals of warfare have not, the key elements are still as valid today as they were since the first spear was created, our job is to adapt them to the fight of here and now. As a course designed around the team, the minimum group size is a team of three, but we encourage as many as you can muster. These must be the men and women you consider tribe. The individuals you would call on in a heartbeat for help and who would show up.
All this being said, if this program sounds like something of value to your group, reach out to the contact email below and we will work to facilitate a pathway forward. However, we do have a strict approach to those we choose to impart our knowledge to. There will be a questionnaire before anything moves ahead that helps us paint a picture of what values and motivations each group has in desiring this information.
It is time to call the spears forward.
