The USMC FILBE main pack. Wow. 82L of grunt hauling horsepower. The Marine’s Cadillac of rucksack engineering. Not without its shortcoming, but what it lakes in finesse it makes up for in sure grit and resiliency. This thing will carry your whole house to the mars and back. Shoulder and hip pads (as if Marines need such luxuries) equipped to take you the extra miles. The frame is a robust yet lightweight polymer (ok not the lightest, come on, its milspec) that shouldn’t squeek with every step like the old MOLLE frames. The main back is a simple duffle bag style top with an easy access zipper at the bottom to reach your cozy sleeping bag or lvl 7’s first once you drop ruck at the end of the day. All in all, this battle sack has enough room to carry all your squads gear plus more and the toughness to do it over and over again. These bags are in good condition. However, like most surplus gear, they are not perfect. For some reason Marines put ducktape all over their gear (to make their names) and that residue never seems to come off.. there is also typical field damage that does not effect the over all performance of the ruck.
